Dr. Anne Elster got her PhD from Cornell University and has been an IEEE Senior Member since 2000. She is a full professor in high-performance computing at the Dept. of Computer Sceince at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway, where she runs the Heterogeneous and Parallel Computing Lab (HPC-Lab). She will also be a visiting scientist at the University of Texas at Austin for her 2023/24 research leave /sabbatical.

She is an IEEE CS Distinguished Contributor Charter member and was a Speaker in the IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Speaker program both for North America and Europe, Middle East and Africa (2019-2022).
