SUMMARY:Updates from the HPC Certification Forum
DESCRIPTION:Weronika Filinger (Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre (EPCC),
University of Edinburgh); Anja Gerbes (Technical University Dresden); Ann
Backhaus (Pawsey Supercomputing Centre); and Julian Kunkel (GWDG, Germany
; University of Göttingen)\n\nCreating and providing HPC training for prac
titioners with diverse backgrounds is challenging, and requires a multitud
e of educational resources covering different skills. However, the sheer v
olume does not guarantee discoverability or quality of the content. The ma
in goal of the International HPC Certification program is to ease the prov
ision and uptake of training by clearly categorizing, defining and eventua
lly assessing the skills required to efficiently use HPC resources. The se
ssion aims to present the current status, discuss the developed processes,
tools, and skills, and to ensure community involvement. Anyone interested
in HPC education is invited to participate in the discussion.\n\nTag: Edu
