SUMMARY:VSCuda: LLM-Based CUDA Extension for Visual Studio Code
DESCRIPTION:Workshop\n\nBrian Chen, Nafis Mustakin, Alvin Hoang, Sakib Fua
d, and Daniel Wong (University of California, Riverside)\n\nSince CUDA was
introduced around 15 years ago, it has developed constantly to accommoda
te many different functionalities. For beginners in particular, it is alre
ady difficult remember the expected function parameters of commonly used C
UDA features, let alone optimize their code by exploiting these new functi
onalities. To reduce the burden for CUDA programmers, we propose VSCuda -
a Visual Studio Code extension for CUDA C/C++ which includes functionaliti
es including but not limited to - CUDA syntax highlighting, Code Help for
all CUDA Runtime API, Code completion for common CUDA functions and integr
ated code improvement suggestions from state-of-the-art large language mod
els.\n\nTag: Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Software Engineerin

eorgakoudis (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL)), Ignacio Lagun
a (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL)), and Konstantinos Parasy
ris (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL))
