Biography
Pouya is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Nowlab group, a collaborative team of 35 professionals, under the guidance of Dr. D.K. Panda and Dr. Hari Subramoni. Throughout his Ph.D. journey, he has been deeply involved in high-performance computing (HPC) research to improve HPC communication and understanding, specifically focusing on communication runtime libraries (MVAPICH2), HPC communication profiling (OSU INAM), and the integration of conversational AI interfaces to facilitate task execution for HPC users. He has actively led and participated in periodic software releases of MVAPICH2 and OSU INAM that are currently in production at various HPC centers worldwide.
His thesis is centered around the design of real-time and scalable profiling tools, with a specific aim to identify and resolve communication bottlenecks at scale, in real-time manner. This work is crucial for optimizing the performance of HPC systems. Additionally, Pouya has integrated conversational AI interfaces to facilitate task execution for HPC users, thereby enhancing overall efficiency and user experience.
