Adrian Jackson is Director of Research at EPCC, where he has worked with a wide range of academic and industry partners to provide HPC expertise. Recently he has been working on high performance I/O, investigating and developing storage techniques and working with new storage architectures. This is in addition to application optimisation and algorithmic development for fields such as computational fluid dynamics and plasma physics. He has also developed and teaches a number of courses on EPCC’s Masters programme and for external organisations and academics, including recently developing courses such as Performance Programming and Machine Learning at Scale. He is heavily involved with UK HPC services, including ARCHER2.
