Chris Skaar has been Working for the University of IL since late 2001. He has worked in the Network Operations Center and the Network Design Group and is currently the Team Lead for Network Operations where he leads a team of Network Engineers that are involved with caring for the Campus Computer Network from the buildings into the core and exit. Chris is also helps manage the University of Illinois ICCN network - a DWDM ring which traverses 800 miles of dark fiber around the state of IL, connecting the University's 3 main campuses and providing high-speed access to commodity, peering and research networks.
