Co-founder of ELEM Biotech and researcher in the field of Computational Mechanics, specially applied to the Biomedical realm at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.

One of the master architects of BSC's ALYA, together with G. Houzeaux, supervising a group of 35-40 researchers, PhD Students, Post-Docs and Programming Engineers.
ALYA is a Large-Scale Computational Mechanics code, capable of solving multi-physics problems in supercomputers.
MV is also Applications Manager and member of the Executive Board of the Center of Excellence in Computational Biomedicine (CompBioMed) created in the summer of 2016.
