Biography
Rebekah Craig brings a decade of biomedical research experience and another decade of pioneering in organizational leadership to her role as business director of UT Southwestern Medical Center’s high performance compute infrastructure, the BioHPC. Rebekah helped to launch and grow the Lyda Hill Department of Bioinformatics at UT Southwestern, founded in 2015. She provided business services and management to help grow the BioHPC infrastructure from a fledgling compute resource to an infrastructure that is now one of the largest academic research HPCs in Texas.

Rebekah came to UT Southwestern from Arkansas State University, where as Director of Research Development she led a restructuring of pre-award research grant services and launched new collaborative initiatives around student research and a research consortium for Mississippi River Delta universities. Prior to this, she worked with researchers, medical centers and non-governmental organizations in Southeast Asia and the US to advance biomedical research and expand health services to vulnerable populations. Rebekah has a Master of Public Health degree with emphasis in health policy and management from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Tulsa.
