Biography
Dr. Alexander Partin is a computational scientist in the Data Science and Learning Division at Argonne National Laboratory, USA. He is passionate about artificial intelligence, biomedical sciences, and high-performance computing to solve real-world problems. His research interests focus on the intersection of these fields, with a particular focus on anti-cancer drug response prediction and drug discovery. He is currently leading the development of computational methods for systematic evaluation and comparison of deep learning architectures in cancer models. Before joining Argonne, he held positions focusing on algorithm development at Dolby Laboratories, Dräger Medical Systems, and Siemens Healthineers. He received a B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Ort Braude College, Israel, in 2010, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Rochester, NY, USA, in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
