Biography
Scott Callaghan is a computer scientist at the Statewide California Earthquake Center and has worked in HPC for over 15 years. He is the lead developer on the CyberShake project, a large-scale high performance computing application which performs physics-based probabilistic seismic hazard analysis for California. He also works with scientific workflows in high performance and high throughput environments. He has a strong interest in education, outreach, and mentoring to prepare the next generation of HPC professionals. He has mentored undergraduates for 20 years, been involved with the International HPC Summer School since 2011, participated in public outreach events, and is currently the chair of the ACM SIGHPC Education chapter.
