Fumiyoshi Shoji
Biography
Fumiyoshi Shoji received his Ph.D. from Kanazawa University, Japan, in 2000.
He joined RIKEN K computer development project from 2006 to 2012 as an R&D scientist/team leader.
He is currently a division director at the operations and computer technologies division, RIKEN Center for Computational Science, which is responsible for the operation and enhancement of the Fugaku and the facilities, including substations, chillers, gas turbine power generators, air handlers etc.
He was awarded ACM Gordon Bell Prize in 2011.
